If it’s fall/autumn then it’s time to peel – here is some of my favorites products from Korea.
The Koreans are especially fan of physical scrubs, including those with naturally occurring grains (such as sugar) (which is not everyone in the “Western” world, and we do not consider it to be useful as it could cause micro-injury on the skin) a variety of chemical peels in their range.
It is interesting to note that Korean cosmetics can contain up to 0.5% salicylic acid, so in BHA exfoliators salicylic acid is often replaced with exfoliating ingredients such as Betaine Salicylate.
1. Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Moisturizer
In Cosrx BHA Blackhead Power Liquid Moisturizer, Betaine Salicylate is an exfoliating agent that is a gentle exfoliating agent similar to BHA, which, according to the ingredient manufacturer, combines BHA exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties with the moisturizing properties of Trimethylglicine. (Based on the manufacturer’s tests, the 4% BS cream effect is similar to a 2% BHA cream.) This exfoliator is a combination of a delicate alternative for sensitive skin and a good dupe of Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator . I have noticed a variety of beneficial effects on me, including soft, even skin, restored tallow production, and less acne.
2. Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid
The second most popular peeler for me is Cosrx AHA 7 Whitehead Power Liquid. It is a medium-strength, 7% glycolic exfoliating, that it is primarily for dry skin. Although INCI is very minimalistic, so many cool things are involved, niacinamide, which is a super-multifunctional ingredient with anti-inflammatory and foliculatory effects, and has a small amount of arginine, panthenol and hyaluronic acid. According to my opinion, it makes the scar remaining after acne wonderfully dim, smoothens, smooths and makes the skin very soft, though it has a bit smell like fish.
3. Chica y Chico Beta-Salic 2.0
Chica Y Chico Beta-Salic 2.0 contains two types of exfoliating agents, namely BHA (2%), supplemented with AHA acid (4%), plus hyaluronic acid and various anti-inflammatory agents. Thanks to the various exfoliating ingredients it helps not only fight against acne, but it is very soft to the skin as it helps to release dead skin cells. I say that it has a very spectacular blistering, pore-tightening and anti-inflammatory effect, as well as smoother, softer, more uniform use of the skin.
Which one have you already use or would you use one of them?
